About This Project
A one-off wallpapering job for a long-standing repeat client. Painting is Woody's craft of choice — every finish is prepared, cut in and rolled from start to finish, so it's genuinely his own work rather than a pre-printed product. Wallpaper has been steadily falling out of fashion, but when a trusted client asked, it was a good excuse to dust off the papering gear after more than a year away from it. A bold botanical paper was hung as a bedroom feature wall, pattern-matched cleanly across each drop and cut precisely around sockets, skirting and the ceiling line. The final piece was intentionally left short on the wardrobe side — new fitted wardrobes are being installed the following week and, based on the floor markings, will overlap the paper only marginally, so there was no benefit in papering behind them.
Scope of Work
- Wall prepped and lined ready for a heavy botanical paper
- Pattern matched cleanly across each drop
- Cut in precisely around sockets, skirting and ceiling
- Final drop intentionally omitted where fitted wardrobes will sit
- Adjacent walls and ceiling finished in crisp white to frame the feature
